Leyenda - Isaac Albeniz- dur: 6:40 (file size = ~8 meg)

MP3

Isaac Albeniz began performing in public at age four. Because his compositions were developed with the performance stage in mind his work demands the full potential of the instrument and performer."Leyenda" is his most famous guitar work (though he thought at the time he was writing for piano).

Standish - G. Rowland - dur: 2:21 (file size = ~2 megabytes)

Though my heart sank when I found the cabin vacant, my spirit soared again upon encountering the activity a mile upstream. As I took my first trip in the old cable car that crossed the river to Standish, I could smell familiar river aromas and hear the sound of shared outdoor frivolity as the 'river rats' came for the spring corn feed. That evening a light spring rain caused eighteen of us to retreat to Jack and Cindy's cabin. When the stories and songs had captivated everyone's imagination, Barry took me outside. He pointed down the canyon where the sun was extending it's last rays upward, and from there worked his way up the river, pointing out the textures and colors of the terrain until he left my attention on the clouds forming up the French Creek canyon. The next few moments of silence planted the seeds of this piece of music, the description of spring rain.
